2nd Annual Ottumwa Chapter picnic

We are going to try and have a spring picnic / cruise in. Much like the one we had last fall at the city park in Ottumwa. We need to figure out a good date to have it and currently thinking sometime in June would be great. Currently considering the weekend of the 12th or the 19th. However we want to try and plan around some of the local car shows. That way we dont hinder the attendance of other events or our own.
Does anyone know if these weekends are open in the car show circut this year?
This event is open to the public for anyone who wants to attend free of charge. All we ask is that if you come here to eat that you help provide for the cause.
Currently we plan on renting the Wildwood Park for a day, having show vehicles on display all day long, having a cookout, having a cruise or parade around Ottumwa with our show vehicles, having a frisbee golf tournament, and hanging out for the day with others who share the same interests. There is alot of room for the kids to play at this park.
Any ideas for the event will be considered. Please share them!
We want this event to evolve into a yearly event so your attendance is very important.
